Pie Dough

Ingredients

  • 4,5 dl Finax Glutenfri Mjölmix (ca 225g) or Finax Glutenfri Lågprotein mjölmix
  • 150 g margarine
  • 4 tbsp cold water
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Pie Dough

Here is your new favorite pie dough recipe along with plenty of tips for delicious fillings!

this is how you do:

  1. Stir together the margarine, flour mix and salt to a grainy mass.
  2. Add the water and quickly work the dough together before leaving to rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  3. Roll out the dough to a flat round shape on a flour covered working surface. Make sure the flattened dough is large enough to cover the pie form. Place the dough into the pre-greased baking form and press it into place.
  4. Set your oven to 225º C.
  5. Pre-bake the dough at 225° C for about 15 minutes.
  6. Add your preferred filling and finish the baking for another 25 minutes (approximately) or till any egg has solidified.

Ham & brocolli pie

  • Finely cut ham
  • 1 broccoli
  • 1yellow onion
  • Egg mix: 3 eggs, 2,5 dl milk, ½ tsp. salt, 1 pinch of black pepper.

french cheese pie

  • 150 g smoked ham, shoulder or loin
  • 1 small leek
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 dl milk
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 4 dl shredded cheese, can be strong

Leek pie

  • 2 leeks (about 400g)
  • 2 yellow onions
  • 3 eggs
  • 250g cottage cheese
  • ½ tsp. salt or herbal salt
  • 2 dl shredded cheese

cheese and crab pie

  • 3 eggs
  • 2 dl cream
  • 2 pinch of salt
  • 1 bucket of crab (approx..110g)
  • 4 tbsp. chopped dill

anchovy with mushroom

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 dl cream
  • 1 can of anchovy fillets (about 50g)
  • 1 can of sliced mushroom (about 200g) or fresh
  • 1 tbsp. melted butter (for sizzling the mushrooms)

cheese pie with zucchini

  • 1 zucchini or 1 squash (about 350g)
  • 2 yellow onion
  • 3 tbsp. margarine
  • 2 dl shredded aged cheese
  • Egg mix: 3 eggs, 2,5 dl milk, ½ tsp. salt, 1 pinch of black pepper.

pie with pear and blue cheese

  • 2 dl creme fraiche
  • 3 eggs
  • 125 g blue cheese
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. black pepper
  • 1 large ripe pear
  • 1 tbsp. melted butter for brushing the pear
  • 25 g walnuts for garnish

tomato pie with garlic

  • 1 large yellow onion
  • ½ tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 can of chopped tomatoes
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • Basil to your liking
  • 250g cherry tomatoes, var. colours

onion pie with anchovy

  • 2 yellow onions
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 2 cans of anchovy fillets
  • ½ can of black olives (about 240g)
  • 3 tbsp. capers
  • Egg mix: 3 eggs, 2,5 dl cooking cream, 1 dl plain yoghurt, 1,5 tsp. black pepper, 1 dl shredded cheese.
